Freedom gratis: Fellows inviting Fellows for LinuxTag

Helping each other, Fellows now have the opportunity go gain gratis entry to LinuxTag Karlsruhe 2005 (June 22-25). Thanks to a Community program of LinuxTag, we are able to start a snowball system of electronic invitations for the event. Each invitation gives its holder a four-day pass to the LinuxTag.

The system works like this: If Fellow A wants to visit LinuxTag, she posts an entry in her Fellowship blog, stating her first and last name and asking if someone is able to send her an invitation. Since all new blog entries show up on the fsfe.org start page, Fellow B reads this. He sends her an invitation (the invitation mails are self-explaining). Fellow A then changes her blog entry to say that she has received an invitation.

Fellow A now activates her account, as stated in the invitation mail. In that account, she will then receive a number of invitations for her to distribute. That's how the snowball gets rolling.

It's no more complicated than that. Each Fellow who activates her or his account on the LinuxTag website will receive a number of invitations to send to other people. To make the Fellowship snowball work, just take care to set the state of your blog to "published". If you receive an invitation, be sure to confirm it within 48 hours.

Print out your ticket and take off to Karlsruhe. We hope to see a lot of Fellows at the two FSFE booths at LinuxTag!
