Linux and Open source

Cameron has praised Linux, and open source software and data formats, stating “We … want to see how open source methods can help overcome the massive problems in government IT programs”. [28]

In 2009, Cameron promised that a Conservative government would publish all details of government expenditure over £25,000 and “all parliamentary information online in an open source format“. [29]
