KDevelop 4 beta7 - Kubuntu Jaunty and Karmic
Kdevelop 4 and kdevplatform beta7 .deb packages for Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04 Kubuntu Karmic 9.10 are available on my backports PPA.
KDevelop beta7 about dialog
To install them:
- Add my PPA to your system’s software sources
- Install package kdevelop

sudo apt-get install kdevelop

Hi,
I’m trying to use Kdevelop on Karma (I got packages from your ppa but I’m on Karmic - KDE 4.3.4) but I have an issue: when I go on “Project” -> “New From Template” I only get “C++” and under that nothing more than “Qt (cmake)” and “No GUI (CMake)”. Also, when I go under “Tools” the menu is empty.
Following the debs installed:
kdevelop 4:3.9.97a-0ubuntu1~karmic0drdanz1
kdevelop-data 4:3.9.97a-0ubuntu1~karmic0drdanz1
kdevelop-dev 4:3.9.97a-0ubuntu1~karmic0drdanz1
kdevplatform-dev 0.9.97a-0ubuntu1~karmic0drdanz2
kdevplatform1-libs 0.9.97a-0ubuntu1~karmic0drdanz2
Same issues when I use the distro’s debs.
Am I missing something?

Alright, it’s Karmic, of curse…
The Tools menu is empty for me too, I believe it should probably be configurable, but I can’t understand how.
About the “New From Template” issue, try reinstalling kapptemplate.
Great!!! Now everything is working fine!!
I wonder why kapptemplate is not included in the dependencies of kdevelop!
